Note: Since compiling XCS-DR1, we have identified three clusters where XAPA failed to find obvious (to the eye) embedded point sources. In none of these cases does the point source dominate the cluster emission, but we are working to adjust the performance of XAPA in these cases.

XAPA Sources: [on] [off]
Fig. 1: XCS produced XMM image (produced from the ObsID 0101640801, see Fig. 3) of the cluster XMMXCS J153455.1+232844.4. Brighter regions show areas of increased X-ray flux. Position mouse over XAPA sources: [on] to reveal the shape of XAPA detected extended (point) sources highlighted in green (red). Image size is 3 x 3 arcmins.
X-ray contours: [on] [off]
Fig. 2: SDSS DR7 colour composite image of the XCS cluster XMMXCS J153455.1+232844.4. Position mouse over X-ray contours: [on] to reveal both XCS X-ray contours overlaid in blue. Image size is 3 x 3 arcmins.

[Masked Image] [XAPA Sources]
[Unmasked Image] [XAPA Sources]
Fig. 3: The XCS produced image of XMM ObsID 0101640801. Brighter regions show areas of increased X-ray flux. Position mouse over [XAPA Sources] to reveal X-ray sources detected by the XCS Automated Pipeline Algorithm (XAPA). The shape of XAPA detected extended (point) sources are highlighted in green (red). If applicable, the shape of XAPA sources deemed close to the PSF of the instrument are highlighted in pink, and those dominated by an internal point-source/sources are highlighted in blue. The source belonging to the cluster XMMXCS J153455.1+232844.4 is highlighted in bold. Occasionally, areas of an XCS ObsID are masked to remove regions deemed unsuitable for cluster detection. Position mouse over [Unmasked Image] to display any masked regions of this XCS ObsID.
