Title: The study of stellar and gas kinematics in the host galaxies of very obscured, nearby AGN

Abstract: The project will be a continuation of the proposal submitted for a pilot program in this semester to target very obscured, nearby AGN to study stellar and gas kinematics in the host galaxies. This will allow us to study the role these larger scale host galaxy properties play in the small scale phenomena related to the fueling and the obscuration of the supermassive black hole. We hope to test the hypothesis that AGN fueling and obscuration might be more closely related to the host galaxies than postulated by the generic unification model. We could probably accept dark nights at any point during the semester, although mid semester (in the Spring) might be better. Possible target RA and Dec ranges are: 6h15+71 6h50+60 10h01+55 11h00+28 13h29+47 14h13-03 23h30+08 00h36+23 01h30+03

Program Type: DD

Scheduled Nights:
Run 1 (2019A):  WIYN/HEXPK -- 1n on Jul 31 2019
Run 1 (2019B):  WIYN/HEXPK -- 1n on Aug 01 2019
