Title: A 3D View into the Coevolutionary History of Galaxies and AGN

Abstract: This HexPak proposal supplements an ongoing project using data from the SDSS IV MaNGA project to study the histories of star formation in galaxies in the context of the histories of the AGN in the same galaxies. Integral field unit (IFU) data provide the spectra for a stellar population analysis to uncover the past in the galaxies' stellar systems. Radio spectral energy distributions covering more than 3 octaves in frequency provide the window into the pasts of the AGN in these systems. While the MaNGA IFU observations provide the requisite data on the likely hosts of the radio AGN in our sample, two of these are in interacting systems. MaNGA does not cover the companions, and we need HexPak data to determine whether the companion had a similar recent stellar population history to the dominant galaxies and how their histories correspond to those of the AGN in the hosts.
