Title: LBT/MODS spectroscopy for z>6 LOFAR radio quasars
Abstract: We propose to obtain LBT spectroscopy for 3 z~6 quasar candidates. These sources were selected in the Bootes field on the bases of deep radio frequency imaging. With the observations described in this proposal, we will expand the studies of the evolution of activity of quasar radio activity to z>6. The goals of our program are to i) confirm unambiguously these objects as z>6 radio quasars thereby confirming the reliability of our selection criteria based on deep low-frequency observations, ii) constrain their space density, iii) investigate quasar activity at z>6.0. All this is very relevant for our understanding of how massive galaxies and BHs form and evolve.
