Title: Constraining Progenitor Models for High-z Superluminous Supernovae in DES

Abstract: Superluminous Supernovae (SLSNe) are some of the most interesting transient objects in the universe, with peak magnitudes -20.5 < m < -23.5. The Dark Energy Survey (DES) has spectroscopically-classified 17 of these extremely bright objects during the first four seasons of the survey. DES has excellent light curves for these object, but only in observer-frame $griz$. Since DES has found these objects out to z=2, the observed rest-frame portion of the SNe varies drastically, and rarely contains sufficient rest-frame optical coverage to probe progenitor models or constrain SLSN evolution. Here we propose to obtain full YJH light-curves for 5 SLSNe in the final season of DES, allowing us to compare SLSNe found in DES to their low-z counterparts. As this is the final season of DES, there will be no opportunity to obtain such light-curves for high-z SLSNe prior to LSST.
