Title: Search Close Companions Around Cool Subdwarfs
Abstract: The multiplicity of cool subdwarfs has been reported lately in the literatures, but they offer a wide discrepancy from a few percent to 26%. Searches have been done for binary separations greater than 30-50 mas, but companions closer than this limit have not been explored. We propose to use Gemini-South/ Phoenix high resolution spectrgraph to minitor radial velocities of nearby confirmed cool subdwarfs, so that we can detect very close pairs of subdwarf binaries. We hope to answer the question of multiplicity differences in the literatures and between cool subdwarfs and their main sequence counter parts.
