Title: The first spectroscopic dust reverberation program on a narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxy: case study Mrk 110

Abstract: We have recently proposed an HST program to carry out UV reverberation mapping on a narrow-line Seyfert 1 galaxy, Mrk 110, which are known for their high Eddington ratios. This is a program that will follow up our successful HST Cycle 21 program on the source NGC 5548. The new program, however, has also additional facets: (i) we intend to monitor the near-IR continuum to detect the hot dust sublimation radius and how it varies, and (ii) we will, for the first time in any source, determine the response time of the Paschen broad emission lines. We have already started a near-IR monitoring campaign with GNIRS in semester 2017A and wish to continue it in this semester. Our program is already supported by an extensive ground-based optical monitoring campaign and the proposed near-IR observations will fully overlap with a Swift X-ray/UV monitoring campaign recently approved as a Key Project.
