Title: Exoplanet Validation for K2 Campaign 10

Abstract: We propose to use WIYN/NESSI to obtain high resolution speckle images of stars hosting candidate transiting planets discovered by the NASA {it K2} mission. {it K2} is yielding high-value targets for future characterization with large ground-based telescopes and {it JWST}. Because of the large number of small planets discovered, radial velocity measurements are an impractical means for validation {it en masse}. Instead, robust statistical methods in conjunction with contrast curves from high resolution imaging can provide crucial constraints on the astrophysical false positive probability for large numbers of planet candidates. These observations will efficiently validate a high quality subset of relatively bright candidate planet host stars identified by {it K2}, many of which will be ideal targets for future study. We will make our data available to the community immediately.
