Title: Spectroscopic Parallax for Cepheids/SN Ia hosts from Pan-STARRS
Abstract: This proposal combines two science programs that each require multi- object, medium-resolution spectroscopy. The first of these programs will enable a more precise determination of the Hubble constant by measuring the spectroscopic parallax of stars in Cepheid fields. The second will measure the redshifts of Type Ia supernovae discovered by Pan-STARRS, by observing their host galaxies, so that they can be used to determine cosmological parameters.
Program Type: ITAC
Run 1 (2015A): WIYN/HYDR -- 2n on Feb 12 2015, Jun 07 2015
