Belton Symposium: Journey Through the solar System

A Symposium in Honor of Dr. Michael J. S. Belton


Westward Look Resort of Tucson, Arizona has a room block for the Belton Symposium and when calling to reserve the rooms, identify yourself as part of the group “NOAO (National Optical Astronomy Observatory”.

The group rate is $141 per night single or double occupancy plus the state sales and bed tax. The current state sales and bed tax is 11.5% ($141 includes the $12 resort fee). Room block is for Nov 9 through Nov 11 and the Resort will honor the group rate 2 days prior and 2 days after above dates.

To reserve the rooms, call 1-800-722-2500 and provide the above group affiliation. A credit card number will be required at the time of reservation. International participants can email reservations to and then fax the credit card information to 1-520-297-9023.


Reservations must be made 30 days prior to the meeting. After that date or after the reserved room block is filled, rooms will be available on a space and rate-available basis. THEREFORE, EARLY ROOM RESERVATIONS ARE ADVISED. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE DEADLINE.

An early departure fee of 50% of the negotiated room rate will apply to all changes made to individual reservations within 7 days of the arrival. Reservations that are canceled within 7 days will be charged one night room and tax.

Resort Fee (included in the room rate) will cover Wi-Fi in guest rooms, business center, fitness center, valet parking or self parking, in room coffee service, local calls, 1-800 and credit card access.
