A One-Degree WIYN Corrector
Charles Harmer is designing a corrector for WIYN for ODI. The field of view
must be 1 degree on a side, or 1.4 degrees along the diameter of the corrector.
This is a challenge, but possible. The initial conceptual design includes
an ADC. The last element of the corrector serves as the dewar window.
At some point, we will need to verify that the glass can survive the
atmospheric pressure.
Images are excellent, in general, except at the very corners of the field.
These are likely to be somewhat vignetted, as well.
