Action Items (grouped by individual/institution)

1. George and John will organize the June 18-22 proposal drafting meeting in Hawaii. Done (mostly) -- George is planning to prepare a "plan" to review at the June 8 telecon

2. George to organize a telecon in May to plan for the June meeting. Done -- see telecon report of May 9, 2001.

3. George needs to calculate the duty cycle for readout of the guide stars (Chuck and John to help)

4. George will try to identify someone who can tell us if the dewar can tolerate a 10 watt heat load (Barry Starr, Gerry Luppino?) Done -- Barry Starr reports that designs can handle this load.

5. George will try to identify some clever engineer to tell us if the readout and control electronics can operate in the cold dewar environment, and if not, how to use their self-generated 10 watts of heat to keep them at an operating temperature. (Barry Starr?) Done -- Barry and Barry think this is not a problem; CMOS works to -40C and the electronics will be thermally isolated from the CCD/cold plate.

6. George will try to find out what the Megacam folks are doing to avoid scattering off the edges of their CCDs (Gerry?)

7. George to find out whether a successful NSF contract allows direct payment to the Co-I's, or does the funding have to be routed through the PI institution.

8. George will send Bernie the NSF announcement of opportunity for the ATI program when it becomes available, preferably by June 1.

9. George needs to discuss with NOAO the availability of Barry Starr to help on the activities noted above, especially in the design of the readout and control electronics.  Done -- Barry is available as NOAO begins working toward a new detector paradigm for itself, a synergistic task with ODI.

10. George and John need to discuss with Gerry the possibility of being a collaborator, with particular emphasis on the packaging of the subarrays.  Done -- Gerry has joined the ODI team

11. Science team needs to review the issue of fill factor (88%) for the Hawaii packaging scheme - is this acceptable? (Gallagher)

12. Science team needs to quantify the gains of OTCCDs over standard CCDs with various assumptions about dead cells in either case. (Gallagher)

13. ODI team needs to identify an institution to commit to testing the demo wafer in the lab; WIYN will provide time for on-sky tests. (Jacoby, Tonry)

14. ODI team needs to identify an institution to handle the software for acquisition and guide star control for the demo wafer. (Jacoby)

15. MITLL to estimate the yield of good cells in a demo wafer.

16. MITLL needs to estimate the cost for the ATI demo run.

17. MITLL needs to estimate a schedule for the ATI demo run.
