TSIP Funding and Public Access Summary

The follow summary shows the amount of funding TSIP has provided since its inception to build new instrumentation for private US large aperture telescopes. The numbers are approximate. The number of nights is based on recovering only half of the funding allocated for instrument projects (system improvement proposals). For system access proposals, the number of nights is based on a one-to-one dollar match for a night's worth of operation (no system access proposals have been funded as of the 2006 cycle).
