These still images represent 11 snapshots of the deviation of the solar rotatation from its mean value, at epochs spaced 4 months apart over the period of the observations. The movie covers the whole period observed, combining both MDI and GONG data. In the outer 15 per cent by radius, the color table has red for fast rotation, green for slow and yellow as neutral. In the deeper regions, we use a different colour table with red for fast, blue for slow and white for neutral. The white curve represents the base of the convection zone at 0.71 R. This sequence of images clearly shows both the bands of zonal flow migrating towards the equator in the outer convection zone and the 'pulsing' effect in the region of the tachocline.
