Animation of local frequency shifts from GONG+ data for Carrington Rotation 1988, (plus a few days before and after). The shifts have been averaged over about 120 modes. The gross magnetic flux from Kitt Peak synoptic maps, averaged over the 15-degree squares, is overlaid with contours at 10, 30, 50 and 70 Gauss. The data have been interpolated on a quarter-day temporal grid to give a smoother effect. |
