Title: Diameters of the Components of EQ Peg, the Nearest PMS Binary

Abstract: EQ Peg is an M3.5+M4.5 visual binary at a of distance 6.2 pc and thought to be <=100 MY old; as such it may be the nearest PMS star system (Zuckerman et al. 2013). Its stars are bright enough, near enough, and if the stars are truly PMS, that their diameters are resolvable with the CHARA interferometer. We therefore propose to measure their diameters so that by comparison with theoretical calculations of PMS evolution we can establish the system's age and provide a fundamental benchmark for the Octans-Near Association to which it belongs.
