Title: A Candidate Tidal Disruption Flare in Abell 1795
Abstract: We have discovered a strong, long-duration X-ray flare associated with a galaxy in the direction of the cluster of galaxies Abell 1795, z 0.06. We request an observation to obtain a spectrum of the galaxy sufficient to determine if it is a cluster member and a dwarf galaxy, or a line-of sight galaxy, in which case it may be an AGN. This flare is one of the best-sampled X-ray tidal disruption flare candidates and may indicate an unusually low-mass galaxy hosting a massive black hole.
