Title: Kappa Fornax, a triple radio-star?
Abstract: The ``dark'' astrometric companion to \kappa For (HIP 11072, G1V dwarf at 22pc from the Sun) has been resolved directly; its preliminary astrometric, spectroscopic and visual orbits with 26.5-y period are known. Despite being much fainter and redder than the main star, the companion has equal mass. Most likely it is a close pair of M-dwarfs. Microwave radiation detected from this companion is indirect evidence of its activity. We will search for variable spectral features at <1% contrast level by taking several high-resolution spectra with CHIRON, hoping to prove this hypothesis.
