Title: Type II Cepheids and Related Variables
Abstract:
This proposal is to continue a project to identify new type II
Cepheids among variables found in large sky surveys. Over the past
seven years, photometry has been obtained for about 500 Cepheid
candidates and spectra have been obtained for those that appeared to be
of interest based on the photometry. Photometry is currently underway
for another 600. This request is for observing time at Kitt Peak to
obtain spectra of stars from this group that turn out to be of interest.
