Title: Observations of Southern Galactic Cepheids in Sloan Filters
Abstract: We propose to observe Southern Galactic Cepheids in the Sloan ugriz filters using the CTIO 0.9m telescope. Our targets are well- known Cepheids that have various distance measurements available in the literature. The purpose of these observations is to determine the zero- points of the Cepheid period-luminosity (PL) relations in the Sloan filters, which are increasingly becoming dominant in extragalactic work.
