Title: Kinematic and Abundance Properties of the Sagittarius Stream

Abstract: Since its discovery in 1994 by Ibata et al. the Sagittarius dwarf galaxy has been an important system for understanding our Milky Way Galaxy. Details of its orbit and disruption can provide an invaluable probe into the nature and structure of the dark matter in the halo of our Galaxy and the process in which larger galaxies consume their smaller counterparts. This proposal is an attempt to search for variations in the stellar populations and constrain the kinematics of the Sagittarius Stream in the region of 00:00 < RA < 03:00 where leading and trailing portions of the stream overlap.
