Title: Giant HH Flows: 10 Years After
Abstract: We discovered over two dozen parsec-scale HH flows from 1993-1996 in deep, narrow-band images of star forming regions obtained with the KPNO 0.9m and Burrell Schmidt telescopes. Radial velocities for several of these flows was also obtained during that period, however the kinematics of the majority of these flows remains uncertain due to the lack of information about their proper motions. We propose to remedy this by obtaining second epoch images of giant HH flows that are located in the Taurus, Orion, Perseus and Cepheus molecular clouds. These observations will enable us to trace the ejection history of these outflows over periods of order 10^4 years, to analyze the relationships between outflow properties and the luminosity and evolutionary status of the driving source, and to study the impact of giant HH flows on the host molecular cloud.
