Title: A multi-wavelength exploration of starburst activity at high redshifts with KP-2.1m/FLMN and ASTRO-F
Abstract: We propose a JHK' imaging observation with KP-2.1m/FLMN as a part of co-ordinated multiband survey around the North Ecliptic Pole (NEP), in which a deepest NIR-MIR-FIR survey will be performed with the Japanese infrared satellite \it ASTRO-F. The deep survey with the Infra-Red Camera (IRC) onboard \it ASTRO-F is sensitive enough to detect both submm galaxies at z\la 3 and star-forming EROs at z~ 1; i.e. we will obtain a unique and comprehensive sample of starburst galaxies at high redshifts with the redundant photometric data in more than 20 bands. Also, we will produce a catalogue of passively evolving elliptical galaxies with extremely red colours, which can be used to constrain the starburst activity at z \ga 4. Together with the deep optical (BRi'z') images we already have, we intend to complete the preparatory observations in the NIR with KP-2.1m/FLMN.
