Title: Search for high-z cluster of galaxies in the North Ecliptic Pole field

Abstract: The observations of high-z cluster of galaxies are quite important for the study of galaxy evolution and the large scale structure formation. Although such sample of high-z cluster is still scarce, recently many observations have reported the clear evidence of clustering of red objects around the powerful radio-loud galaxies at z > 1. Here we propose to obtain wide and deep near-infrared images of the selected high-z radio-loud galaxies in order to identify the overdensities of galaxies around the targets as candidates of high-z clusters. Our high-z targets are all selected from the North Ecliptic Pole (NEP) field which is promised for ultra-deep survey by forthcoming Japanese infrared satellite ASTRO-F. This observations will provide a good sample for ASTRO-F mission, and combining with ASTRO-F mid- to far- infrared data will reveal the star-formation history and galaxy evolution in the cluster environments at 3> z >1, which is a key period for such studies.
