NOAO Office of Public Affairs and Educational Outreach

Douglas Isbell

Associate Director for Public Affairs & Educational Outreach

Doug recommends that students eager for a career in science journalism or public affairs get an education with a mixture of technical and professional classes, such as an undergraduate degree in engineering and a master’s in journalism. Such a mix has served him well during a 15-year career in aerospace communications.
