The Kitt Peak Experience… Like no other
Transportation to and from Kitt Peak
There is no public transportation to and from Kitt Peak however, a there are two private services that have agreed to provide transportation as a pay service to visitors on the Mountain. Adobe Shuttle runs during the day and at night for the Nightly Observing Program. The shuttle service is separate from the Kitt Peak visitor center and is not associated with Kitt Peak or NOAO. All transportation reservations are made through Adobe and NOT the visitor Center. Call 520-609-0593 to make your transportation reservation. FOR Day Trips:
- Require no reservation. Call either shutter service for a quote and to make your travel plans.
- Fees are based on the number of people in a vehicle. Groups of 10 or more get a special rate.
FOR the Nightly Observing Program:
- Transportation Fee does not include the cost of the NOP.
- Make your NOP Reservation first by calling 520-318-8726.
- Departure times vary and are based on sun set times.
- Fees are based on the number of people in a vehicle.
- Remember this is a weather dependent program and all cancellation policies are still in place. If for some reason your plans change and you have to cancel, it is your responsibility to cancel both the NOP reservation and your travel reservation in order to avoid any cancellation fees.
