The Kitt Peak Experience… Like no other
You have helped us raise $31,675 towards our goal of $80,000!
Visitor Center Telescope Fund Drive
The Kitt Peak Visitor Center uses earned income to support its operations. Whenever we have a major purchase like a telescope, the only way we can afford to replace it is to raise the money through generous contributions like yours.
Luckily we do not have to replace our equipment very often. The telescope that we are currently replacing has been in operation since 1996 at the very start of our public stargazing program. It has been rebuilt twice and is frankly just worn out.
Millions of people have visited the world’s largest working astronomical observatory. Tens of thousands of people have been exposed to the wonders of the night sky through our evening stargazing programs and thousands of school children get to experience this National Treasure inspiring them to look up at the night sky and wonder.
Please help us to continue our programs and give what you can to this unique program by helping us replace this telescope.
Your contribution is Tax Deductible
