MOON MADNESS

Kitt Peak is pleased to announce our new hands-on lunar observation program: Moon Madness!

This special program exclusively features our closest cosmic neighbor, the Moon. In addition to learning how the Moon formed, you will get a chance to: learn about the Moon’s path and motion, create your own craters, and construct a model to understand lunar phases and find out why we can see the Moon during the day! You will also have the exciting opportunity to discover the beautiful lunar landscape for yourself through one of our Visitor Center Telescopes. For the TRULY adventurous, we may even take a little drive to the Moon itself!

With Special Guest Planets JUPITER and MERCURY!

This program is intended for beginners and families with children. Minimum age is 6 years old.
