Meade 16in LX200 telescope operating at f/10
SBIG ST8E CCD camera with color filter wheel

R R G B color production was used to create this image.

Luminance = 45 minutes binned 1x1
Red = 10 minutes binned 1x1
Green = 10 minutes binned 1x1
Blue = 20 minutes binned 1x1

  • Imaged with a 88% illuminated moon.
  • The stellar FWHM averaged 1.3". After deconvolution the smallest resolvable features are sub-arcsecond.
  • Minimum credit line: Adam Block/NOAO/AURA/NSF
