Widefield of the Bubble Nebula, NGC7635

Click on image for larger version.

This widefield image shows the rich region surrounding the Bubble Nebula. In the upper left of the image, the open star cluster M52 is visible whereas NGC 7538 is visible in the lower right. Faint nebulosity fills the whole region. In 10-20 million years both the bubble nebula and NGC 7538 will turn into open star clusters such as M52 as their star formation processes evolve. Visit The Bubble Nebula page for a close-up view with the 20" RC.
