NGC 7635: The Bubble Nebula

This mysterious ball of gas is about half a degree from M52, in Cassiopeia. See NGC 2359-Thor's Helmet for more information on this type of object. Also the Bubble Nebula can be seen very well in the light of Ha.

L R G B color production was used to create this image.

Luminance = (R) 120 minutes binned 1x1
 Red = 10 minutes binned 2x2
 Green = 10 minutes binned 2x2
 Blue = 20 minutes binned 2x2
  • Two iterations of L-R deconvolution (sharpening) algorithm using CCDsharp were applied to the luminance image.
