System User Support
System User Support (SUS) provides help to users for observing proposal preparation and submission to all of the system facilities, as well as help with questions about post-observing data processing. These duties include the functions of the former NOAO Gemini Science Center, but have now expanded to include support for all non-NOAO facilities. U.S. observing time on the Gemini telescopes comprises the largest part of community open access to non-NOAO ground-based facilities; however NSF-funded programs, such as TSIP or ReSTAR, provide significant amounts of observing time on a wide range of telescopes and instruments.
