September 7th Flare of active region 808

• Helioseismic holography of the farside of the Sun has the ability of mapping the active regions at the solar surface before they appear on the front side. See below the farside maps of active region AR 10808 before it appeared on the front side Sept. the 7th 2005 with a spectacular solar flare, the fifth one on record.
