Driving in Chile (1Dec92) (from CTIO, NOAO Newsletter No. 32, 1 December 1992) Visiting observers who plan to rent a car while in Chile, or longer-term visitors who expect to use CTIO vehicles, should be aware that they must have a valid international driver's license to do so. However, if you are only going to drive the Tololo Volkswagens around the mountain top, the international license is not needed. Bob Williams, Enrique Figueroa
