Title: The Old giants in globular clusters
Abstract:
The galactic globular clusters offer us insights into three important problems
in astrophysics: the origin of the Milky Way, the formation of globular
clusters, and evolution of stars. The abundances of elements determined from
the spectra of old giants in globular clusters reflect both the broad history
of
the Galaxy and the intricate physical processes occurring in star clusters and
in individual stars as they evolve. Each globular cluster has its own story
to
tell.
