Inclusion Criteria:

  • The main refereed journals in which we track publications are Astronomy & Astrophysics (A&A), Astronomical Journal (AJ), The Astrophysical Journal (ApJ), The Astrophysical Journal Letters (ApJL), The Astrophysical Journal Supplement (ApJS), Icarus, Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society (MNRAS), Nature (Natur), Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific (PASP), and Science (Sci).
  • Our year is from Oct. 1 through Sept. 30. Papers for FY2016 are those published between 1 Oct. 2015 and 30 September 2016.
  • We include papers that use, in part or exclusively, data from NOAO telescope facilities or from community-access time on non-NOAO telescopes granted by NOAO.
  • A paper must base some or all of its conclusions on the above-mentioned data. This includes original data obtained and analyzed by the author(s), data from the NOAO Science Archive reduced or analyzed anew by the author(s), data that have been analyzed by others, and data obtained from other sources that is reduced or analyzed anew by the author(s).
  • The amount of NOAO data analyzed does not have a bearing upon inclusion; if a small amount of NOAO data in relation to the total amount of data sets in the paper is used in the conclusions, then the paper is included.
  • We exclude papers that only mention ongoing projects or suggest future projects; cite KPNO standard stars or telescope filters; describe instrumentation or software; use published standard stars for calibration purposes; or quote results derived from NOAO data from the literature where no new analysis of the data themselves is involved.

This research has made use of NASA's Astrophysics Data System. ADS bibcodes are included for publications.

The NOAO Publications List is maintained by the NOAO Librarian.
