A little tourism?
November is a great time to visit Tucson—not only for astronomy (the fraction of photometric nights is at its peak), but for tourism (the temperatures are pleasant at both valley and mountain elevations). If you are free to arrive one day early, you might enjoy a short drive to the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum Although called a museum, it is actually a zoo, and deservedly renowned as one of the finest in the world for its naturalistic environments.
A little gastronomy?
If you enjoy Mexican food and have time for one meal out, consider Mi Nidito, an inexpensive, unpretentious family restaurant that is a favorite of locals (no credit cards, no reservations).
