Currently Available Mosaic CCD Amplifier and Chip Designations
The new thinned SITe CCDs are shown in the flat field image below
(a R-band image taken at the 4-m).
The sub-image names (im1-im8) used to
reference the 8 sub-images in the single multi-extension
FITS file are shown.
To reference the chip in the bottom row, second from the left, for example,
in the FITS file obj001.fits, one would append [im1]. To display
this single CCD image in IRAF, one types:
cl> display obj001[im3] 1
