Parameters

This section will outline the use of different parameter sets, setting parameters, and saving parameters sets.

The available parameter sets may be listed with the lpar command. " params.par " is the default parameter file. A parameter set may be loaded with the puse command. A psave command will save out the current parameter set.

The parameters that are available are the following:

• coadds Number of coadds
• lnrs Number of lnrs
• pics Number of pictures
• delaysec Integration time (seconds)
• filename Filename template
• headerdir Header Directory
• pixeldir Pixel Directory
• mode Process mode
• picnum Picture index
• ucode Microcode
• display Channels to display
• ra RA of object
• dec DEC of object
• epoch EPOCH of object
• offset Observation offset
• type Type of observation
• airmass Current airmass
• comment Comment
• imlist file name of image list**
• title The iraf header title
• save Channels to save to disk
• var1-4 Four freeform variables which can be selected in iraf scripts

A single command, setparams, can set all of these values, although many of them have other commands which also set them. (see setparams, ppar, lpar, puse, psave.)
