The FOPS information is automatically transferred to the guider software (in most cases). This is an OT operation and should be fairly straightforward with good communication between the OT and the observer.
A minimum of 2 FOPS must be active in order to guide the three axes of the telescope (azimuth, altitude, and field rotation). Again, we remind you that we suggest 3 or more active FOPS in order to compensate for astrometric and fiber positioning errors.
Parked FOPS will serve as sky monitors so that the guider will know when to disable itself due to cloud interference.
