KPNO universal dewars can be mounted on either red or blue long focus cameras or the UV fast camera. The dispersions available from the long focus cameras are identical, but the blue camera is generally used for spectroscopy below 4000 Å. It is usually not possible to switch the dewar from one camera to the other during an observer's run.
