Kitt Peak National Observatory Celebrates 40 Years:

1958-1998

KPNO is a division of the National Optical Astronomy Observatories which is operated by the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA), Inc. under cooperative agreement with the National Science Foundation

To honor the upcoming 40th anniversary of Kitt Peak National Observatory the AURA Board of Directors, in conjunction with its August meeting in Tucson, hosted a reception on the NOAO-Tucson office building patio on Tuesday, August 4. We share with you some of these enjoyable moments.
