The WIYN 3.5-meter telescope, in a photograph looking towards the northwest. The low building houses control and service functions. At the far right can be seen the exhaust from the building air conditioning, which pulls any heat which might affect the telescope image quality away from the dome and vents it downwind (for the prevailing wind direction). The dome right of center is for the (unused) 0.4-meter telescope.
