Happiness is a weather-tight dome. With the SOAR (SOuthern Astrophysical Research) telescope dome complete and able to stand up to the worst of the winter weather, the project team is now concentrating its efforts on assembly of the telescope mount with expert on-site assistance provided by mount manufacturer Vertex RSI. This image was used as the cover for the September 2002 NOAO Newsletter (no.71) (currently only available in PDF format).
