This image shows the quality of the data to be expected when the Global Oscillation Network Group (GONG) stations for studying oscillations of the Sun are upgraded to the new GONG+ camera system. The GONG+ line-of-sight magnetogram (top) is compared to a traditional NSO/Kitt Peak Vacuum Telescope magnetogram (below). See also the GONG/GONG+ comparison.
