M107, or NGC6171, a globular cluster in the constellation Ophiuchus. Found by Messier's friend Mechain in 1782, M107 was added to Messier's original list of 103 objects at the suggestion of Helen Sawyer Hogg. About 10000 light-years from us, M107 is about 50 light-years across.
