Herman Ramon and Sheldon Escalente at the woodshop in the maintenance facilities on Kitt Peak. People sometimes forget that an observatory requires many more specialities than just astronomers, who typically make up fewer than ten percent of an observatory staff. In fact, since observatories are usually isolated, they require most of the support needs of a small town, leading to many `careers in astronomy' that are not officially astronomy.
