The Gemini Project is an international collaboration between the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Canada, Chile, Australia, Argentina and Brazil. The project is building twin 8.1-meter telescopes on Hawaii's Mauna Kea and Chile's Cerro Pachón to provide unobstructed coverage of both northern and southern skies with the highest attainable image quality.
This collection of images related to the Gemini project is maintained by the National Optical Astronomy Observatory (NOAO). NOAO is operated for the National Science Foundation by the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA), Inc.
