NOAO Proposal Information


Deadlines

Proposals for standard observing programs at all ground-based facilities coordinated by NOAO, which include the telescopes of the Gemini, CTIO, and KPNO observatories, and community-access time with private observatories can be submitted twice each year by the following deadlines. Survey Programs are only accepted annually, and investigators must submit a letter of intent to propose by 14 February.

(for the February-July observing period)

Survey Programs

NOAO offers the opportunity to conduct major survey programs of up to 3 years duration. Up to 20% of the observing time available through NOAO may be allocated to Survey Programs.
