Astronomy Curricular Material
The Skywatchers of the Americas section of Windows to the Universe briefly covers some aspects of ancient astronomy in Native America at a beginner, intermediate, or advanced level. Specifically discussed are the Skidi Band of the Pawnee, the Chumash of California, and the Inca of South America. Terms are hyper-linked for further exploration.
Gary Kronk of the Munich Astro Archive compiled a page called Comets and Meteor Showers. Under the Meteors heading is a link to further information, for which he has written an article called Meteors and the Native Americans that describes different Native American tribes' feelings about meteors, with specific reference to the great Leonid meteor shower in 1833.
